Pallet production costs on the rise

An extraordinary wave of price increases is affecting the timber market. HPE –German association of  pallets and packaging manufacturers- gave the data collected among the associated companies, and they found out that on annual basis, costs have increased of 9,7%.

“Timber increses haven’t been so heavy since years and years” Jan Kurt –CEO of HPE- said.

Timber costs apart, also costs for personnel, steel products e.g. nails, and transport services are getting higher and make pressure con the management of companies, added up HPE.
